Blither blather

My word, it's been a fair old while since any of us last posted any musings. This is Fake DIY were kind enough to ask us to write a column for them on anything of our choosing so here's what we wrote:

Not sure if it was what they had in mind but it made us happy writing it so that's half a good thing.
We'll soon have news on 2nd album recording dates, we really can't wait for you to hear our new songs. In the meantime, St Vincent's latest album comes highly recommended along with that delightfully intriguing blank expression of hers.
Hope the rain isn't bringing you down.

Fresh Deer Meat is a lovely website full of folk, americana and in there own words all things rural, definitely worth investing some of your time.

Also worth investing your time is the excellent Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson an american singer songwriter who's not afraid of a bit of distortion and some hard hitting whaling about what's wrong with the world

We Heart Dunfermline

Who knew that outside the tourist haven of beautiful Edinburgh and the glamorous grime of Glasgow there lay a wee Scottish city called Dunfermline, packed with Britain's most genial people and home to a beautiful concert hall?

Last weekend we discovered this hidden gem at TigerFest 2009, playing at the immaculate Carnegie Hall in support of Ballboy with Audrey Sings Nico and St Jude's Infirmary. Thanks to the organisers of Tigerfest, the most tolerant and talented sound team and to the audience on the day who were princely. We had a true braw time.

Thanks also to IsthisMusic for posting this footage on Youtube. It's a new song, titled 'The Last Happy Writer', and is a taste of things to come, we hope you enjoy it.



The video for new single 'Lovers or Something Like it' is only a day or two away, we'll post it, along with the full streaming track and B side, as soon as it arrives.
